Nusfjord is one of the oldest and best preserved fishing villages of Norway. Under UNESCO´s Cultural Protection Act of 1975 Nusfjord was one of three pilot projects in Norway aimed at preserving and promoting areas containing unique wooden structures. In these days it's basically a museum and an holiday village.
