This was the test shot but as it turned out, it was the best shot too. It was supposed to be a 4 minute exposure but I did a 2 minute exposure for the test and it ended up being the sharpest and having the most definition of all my images on this evening in Death Valley. These are salt encrusted springs that show themselves in the winter and usually disappear by March. As it turns out they disappeared a week after I took this image in January.
